my fault or your fault?

i had the most crazy week ever. with arguments, joy, laughter and good food.

it is crazy and i dont wanna spend time talking abt the unhappy things. but thruout this week, i learn alot of things from everyone including my junior staffs.

just yesterday night shift, i was lamenting to my junior staff about how the drunk suzuki swift driver drove his car with 2 passengers (one of which is his gf) despite his drunk state. to me, i have always thot that driver has the biggest responsbility because the wheels are in his hands and that his driving will determine whether passengers can get home safely. so i told him how disgusted at the driver's behaviour and that he deserved his jail term.

then he said something. "小姐你要明白如果他的女朋友知道他已经喝醉,还选择坐他的车,那么她自己也要负起责任。" (in english it means that if the gf still took his car home despite knowing that he is drunk, she has a part of resonsbility in her own death.)

i thot it was so true. really. u see, sometimes this is how people see things from many angles. to many of us, we would blindly blame the driver for his reckless driving or his drink-driving. but noone would have thot that those who died from those accidents do have a part in their own death because they have chosen to trust the driver who will be fetching them home.

the trust that they have placed in the driver is a choice they have made and they have to understand that with the kinda trust given, it entails a series of potential consequences that you will have to bear.

hmm, food for thot right. yesterday it was really thot provoking. when he said tt, i cldnt find anything else to rebutt him.

and my HK trip is still pending because of a potential stowage planning 1-2 mths long course at singapore poly. but i think i shld be able to go for both, w first week lesson missed. means next mth i wont be working for whooooooooooole mth!

=)

i got alot to type actually. but im gg to wash up soon and prepare to go national library.
