the thots abt bkk trip 12-16/04/08

so here im back in singapore. after getting wet by the thais who shoot and pour water on us, im finally back to sanity.

each trip to me opens new experiences to me. like friends whom i havent had the chance to be really close to, new places tt i go, new atmospheres.

like this trip, i went during the songkran festival. i witnessed how fun+peace loving each and everyone is and how simple lives can be actually.

i guess deep inside me, i always wanted to live such a life with all the simplicity in the world. but yet i know i cant live in such substandard environment. it is a crazy contradiction, but life's full of such contradictions.

while my frens did body/foot massage, i chose to sit one side and let the world go all around me. to sit and watch the world can be such a pleasure. perhaps i didnt have tt kinda craziness as compared to my first few times in bangkok, so tt explains why i was nonchalant about seeing streetside hawkers, $2 tees and the amazingly big chatuchak weekend market. with tt nonchalant attitude, i could really travel with a different mindset.

this trip, i only spent $300 as compared to my 2-4 times fold of expenditure as compared previously. i chose to buy things for my loved ones and myself rather than to get into mad frenzy of wah-everything-is-so-cheap here. the money was well spent in every single way cos i know those people aroubd me are so going to like tt.

going with one vegetarian and one semi vegetarian really makes me learn abt different cultures and eating habits of each individual.

the late night gossips and comparing beauty products and girls going -eh u use this one good good ah?- and -wah this brand is very famous one, heard the reviews are not too bad- late at 2am make me tickle everytime i think abt it.

2 friends, one is my PSA colleague, one is my part time job in airport colleague, it is amazng how girls can bond together within 2 hrs.

everything was so goos until i saw a walking stick somewhere and i told myself to buy it back to sg for grandpa. and then i told myself, grandpa isnt around anymore. it makes me a litte sad when i finally arrived in singapore.

im gg to head for afternoon nap now and do my night shift later.
