i stood there and watched the world go by.

first! the food glory!

Photobucket

i love the food there. and w/o fail i will visit the streetside hawker near my hotel. it is funny how it is there sometimes when u dont have any craving for tom yam but it is always there when u least expect it. hmm, talking abt surprises in life huh.

i tried the expensive ones, the cheap ones, the foodcourt kinda, the hotel cafe kind. the one closest to my heart is always the streetside hawker ones. simple fare, filling and heart warming.

the vibrant bkk. the colours of the taxis and tuktuks always make me smile. something so familiar to only thailand. and speaking of which, my thai really sucks now. oh man, i can only bargain in numbers and not go any further! darn! i must go practise!!

our first stop was chatuchak cos we reached bkk on sat night and then the next day was the only weekend left! made it to the weekend market straight w/o hesitation! and the 2 silly girls were half broke during the day time. HAHA.

char, being the super super traveller, having travelled in like once every 2-3 months, she wanted very much to visit thailand during songkran. and seriously, out of my 4-5 times there, it was my first time experiencing songkran! super fun!

Photobucket

the last row pic in the centre shows how char and jesse were aimed by the locals with body powder. haha. super cute right. during the first few days, we wore pretty clothes out until we got so used to the water pouring, we just recycled our clothes cos we know we will be wet and dirty despite wearing fresh clothes.

char and jesse bought this ultraman water gun which were SOOOOOOOOOOOOO useless cos i think their power of water shooting is almost close to zero as compared to guns with 4 holes and with super far shooting power that u can feel the pain as they shoot you!

char in the 5 days action!

Photobucket

visited wat arun, my favourite temple of all time. this was the very first temple that i found on my own to pray and as well as to accompany yellow to buy her religion related accessories.

Photobucket

my all time favourite. the dunkin donuts. i was too greedy cos there was a promotion for this box of donuts for i think only $4 bcos of the songkran festival and i just kept and kept in the fridge till the very last day.

see, even the smiley faces came out.

Photobucket

me and bkk.

i was sitting by the street side market, waiting for the girls while they do their foot massage (30min for 99 baht) and just watched the world go by. see how they earn their living, how they interact, trying to improve my thai comprehension by evasdropping.

it is fun to have me-time for short moments.

Photobucket

lastly, photos of me and the fun-loving girls.

this trip definitely brings me alot of memories (but not the tv that changes channels on its own, it is still giving me shivers till now). and thanks for everything!

next stop, i hope perth and taiwan. perth with crispy and taiwan with sharon!!
