im highly irritated bcos the photobucket is not working and i wldnt wanna spend like 2 hrs uploading photos. actually i have only 10 photos.

alright, being a monday w/o monday blues bcos i have no work and this is my 3rd off day, i shall learn to be patient and make full use of blogger's functions.

my hamster, french is always trying to escape. seriously i find it so amusing.

deepavali. was so lucky tt i was OFF. heh. went out with crispy, the sister and the 2 kids. heh.

in crystal jade taka, the kid was taking my shawl and she was trying to play afool. god damn funny. she is so smart and she cld tie the shawl nicely onto her head and dance the indian dance.

OH. the kid dropped her front tooth. there was this funny incident. i was at old chang kee and she wanted fishball. so she said "joanna jiejie, can i have WISH-PO please?"

and i was like "HUH WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?"

she: "no, i want WISH-PO."

i said "eh i dont quite get it leh. can u say it again"

she (used up all her energy to pronounce the words properly trying not to let the AIR "escape" from her front teeth): i wan FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFISHBALL.

me: oh!!!!

HAHAHAH. then i luffed so loudly. so i didnt wan to make her feel shy and to make things sound better, i told her that she has only one tooth gone while i had 2 teeth gone when i was biting on an apple when i was still akid.

then 3 days later, her 2nd tooth dropped. oh my god.

this kid super funny. she even told me "joanna jiejie, i dont wanna see my friends cos i have to say hi to them and i have to open my mouth and then they will see that my tooth is gone."

then she was trying to tie my shawl onto her sister's head. and she gave up and said "meimei, your head is too big."

haha i think my shawl is long enuff, she was just too lazy.

oh and this! i learnt how to make cupcakes. my 2nd try! not too bad huh. =)

self baked lemon cheesecake. delicious feedback!! :) for crispy's bday. my annoying sister asked "jiejie ur cake is for kids one ah? so colourful."

me: no! my fren already 28.

then there was this icing war on the bday girl. haha. they were trying to make full use of the tiny amt of icing.

steamboat on the 3rd night of the chalet.

and oh, i have alot of thots after i return home from chalet.

the bbq was only held on the 2nd night of the chalet. and this super long time friend of mine travelled from JB to SG for this bbq. *super touched*

she has been away in sydney for the past 4 years and i didnt even hear from her for so long! now that she is back in msia, she is helping her out with dad's property buisness. over the years, i am happy that she has undergone many positive changes. she is more smile-y, chatty, friendly, jovial, chirpy. she opens up more and is more mature.

her driving can really drive me up the wall. omg. her max speed is 50km/h on sg roads and when i told her that i cldnt even feel that the car is moving, she said she is driving a/c to the speed limit.

eh, yes it is true... but.. a tad too slow.

being her walking street directory, i guided her from sembawang to bedok cos she has to fetch her fren there and then back to the bbq. and from 50km/h on the main roads to max of 70km/h on expressway, i must admit i had a fun time admiring the scenery. she said singaporeans are too fast paced and they dont take enuff time to smell the flowers which i 100% agree.

she keeps to the extreme left lane and signals well before she turns. she even had the courtesy to tell me "sit tight, im gg to turn left/right"

the difference u get when u have a fren who studies aboard. but she has gone thru the rough bad times there too. :(

then she didnt wanna turn right despite green light cos she said the TURN RIGHT light is not there. and i was like "erm erm in sg, u can just turn if there is no incoming traffic"

and she didnt believe me.

finally she did. cos the fellow at the back horned at her. so this coming 25 jan, i have decided to give her 2 items for her bday present.

1. our sg basic theory book.
2. singapore street directory.

com early dec, im gg to rush into JB to look for her and be my tai tai. haha cos im gg to make her drive ard. and hopefully she can join us for the coming vietnam trip!!

and there was this darn funny joke.

when she reached sembawang, she opened the passenger door for her fren. so i joked "wah u super gentleman hor"

then i hopped onto her car on the way from sembawang to bedok and her fren alighted. i told her to fetch me to yellow's place to pass her my 2nd try cupcakes. and i happily thot she will open the door for me when we reached.

she winded down the window and said "erm can u open the door from the outside cos my door is spoilt."

me: !??!?! oh so u opened the door for javon just now cos the door is spoilt?!!?

her: ya la then. open urself la.

then after the bbq, 7 of us went back to the chalet and chatted. accompanied with beer, tea, coffee, calbee prawn crackers and hot&spicy chips, we chatted till 6am! imagine! all of them were sooooooo tired.

haha actually i have no problem staying up. as i was telling crispy, i said i think im amazing cos i can stay up till anytime of the day and fall asleep whenever i wan. ON/OFF button. haha.

we chatted abt every single things. the flings in sydney, the cars, the face masks, the AHEM person tt we bitched abt the entire night, the family business, the career, the future plans, the masters, love, friends, lies, gfs, bfs, breakups, my PSA, the ships/vessels, thailand history, world history. gosh. :)

everything. and it feels so surreal. feel so warm and close to heart. i never had a gathering like tt before. everyone was strangers there and somehow we chatted like close friends and this feeling, i must admit is pretty magical.

the changes i see in this long time friend is amazing. we knew each other when we were 15. both O level students then. now we have graudated and craving out a career on our own. really, different stages in life but the most impt thing is we can still connect.

and i quoted her words "wat matters most for friends is the quality and not the quantity."

then after everone left, i stayed over and fell aslp till 3pm! man.

sunday was more like a sleeping day for everyone. i woke up to be a maid lo. haha cleaned and packed and then steamboat. PLS MISSY SORETHROAT, PLS DONT LOOK FOR ME ANYMORE. U STAYED ENUFF THE OTHER TIME.

today is monday. im back to reality. gosh.

but overall, a very fruitful and satisfying weekend. enuff to last me thru this year.

and next, xmas PH im OFF!! camping perhaps!
